It will only be partly sunny on Friday with highs in the low 40s to mid 50s - that’s it. Some computer model data does keep a few showers around into Thursday afternoon, so we’ll have to keep the umbrellas handy all day Thursday just in case.Ī cold front is what’s bringing the rain our way Thursday, and it’s bringing cooler temps, too, as we head into the weekend. Rain and isolated thunder moves in overnight Wednesday into Thursday, with showers mainly lasting through the morning around Metro Detroit. We will stay dry all day and all evening on Wednesday. The clouds will be the big variable as to whether or not we hit that 70 degree mark, as more and more clouds move in Wednesday afternoon and evening ahead of our next rain maker. We’ll have those warming winds moving SW at 5-12 mph all day long, with another shot at 70 degrees. We will see a nice mix of sun and clouds during the day. Wednesday will start slightly warmer in the mid and upper 40s to near 50 degrees. Those high, thin clouds won’t filter much sunshine and certainly won’t bring any wet weather today or tomorrow. Wispy, high clouds will increase through the mid and late afternoon. There may be a few suburbs stuck in the upper 60s, but we have a great shot at seeing most suburbs land in the lower 70s. Temps will take off with a warming wind moving WSW at 5-12 mph, gusting at 15-20 mph at times today, helping highs hit 70 degrees or warmer. We’ll have tons of sunshine Tuesday morning and early afternoon across SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario, so don’t forget the sunglasses as you’re heading out and about.
